4) The 6th regular rally of ATU was held.
The 6th regular rally of ATU was held on September 26.  The extermination of
labor accident or death from overwork, correction of wage difference between
regular and non-regular workers, appeal for joining to ATU, and the
education for union members, study promotion, ATU joining promotion for
young workers, cooperation with regional unions, promotion of unity with
workers etc. were decided as the action policies.



3) Action at Toyota headquarters to support TMPCWA
The action to request urgent solution for the labor dispute in Philippines
Toyota (TMPCWA) Co. like  union-busting, wrongful dismissal of 233 people
etc. was held.
The street propaganda and mini meeting were held at the building, where the
worldwide business section of Toyota located, in front of Nagoya Station on
September 19, and about 70 people participated.
On the 20th the next day, they distributed handbills around the headquarters
early morning, and the delegation proposed to the headquarters. The top and
Aichi representative of the supporters group joined the delegation with
Chairman Ed and Vice Committee Mr. Wenny.
Moreover, National Confederation of Trade Unions decided support this time,
and sent the request letter dated September 13 to the president of TMPCWA.



2) The 6th Toyota continuous labor course
The labor course sponsored by ATU・S was held on September 18.
On this day, we heard the story by the woman who was "The manager of the
fifth subcontract" of Toyota until recently. Toyota accomplished V shaped
recovery recently, even though it dropped the achievement due to Lehman
shock and the recall problem. But it is said that a thorough unit price
cutting down was done to the subcontract enterprise in the end, and a lot of
small business were driven in to giving up business and the bankruptcy
including this female manager's company. She told how severe the cost
cutting of Toyota based on materials about the unit price.



1) Collective bargaining at Aisin Kiko Co., Ltd.
The collective bargaining to request reinstatement of Mr. Y, ATU union
member and a worker of Aisin Kiko Co., Ltd., was held on September 3.  Mr. Y
continued working to make the lid of the engine, but he hurt his wrist and
necessarily got the operation. The company showed the attitude to urge him
retirement though he requested reinstatement after recovery. Then, Mr. Y
joined ATU, negotiated collectively, and escaped the dismissal by expiration
of permitted period　for leave-taking.
