Dear Friends and Comrades,

 

Revolutionary greetings from All Pakistan Trade Union Federation!

 

I would like to inform you that APTUF is holding its National Conference in this crucial time when the multinationals; the financial speculators; the international financial institutions such as the WTO, World Bank and IMF; and all the governments in their service -- have declared an economic and political war against the workers, against their organizations, and against the peoples. 

 

 

The struggles of resistance of workers against discriminatory policies will get success for the unity of working people the world over -- from North to South and from East to West. It requires the united struggle of oppressed and exploited workers/peoples to stop this offensive of war and destruction,   which leading 

world to the brink of barbarism. 



The time is extremely difficult and we know that with the unity of the working people across borders, in defense of our rights and gains, in defense of the independence of our trade unions, in defense of democracy itself we can prevail over corporate greed, over the oil war worlds, over the international institutions of global capitalism-from IMF, to the World Bank, to the WTO.

 

To chalk out strategies and make plan of action against neo-liberal globalization, free trade agreements, government anti workers laws and policies, war of aggression and to strengthen workers movement against militant attacks on jobs, wages and democratic rights, All Pakistan Trade Union Federation is holding its National Congress in Lahore on November 15, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. 28 kilometer Multan Road, Lahore. 

 

We invite all progressive, militant and anti-imperialist, trade unions, workers organizations, to participate in this event but because of lack of finances we are unable to bear travel, lodging expenses.
