Support activities by workers and labor unions continue since earthquake
disaster on March 11.
Japanese Prime Minister changed. I think that the
basic strategy of earthquake disaster revival and accident convergence of the
Fukushima nuclear power plant will not change under the new Prime Minister..
However, new Prime Minister Noda is said to be "positive" about operation of the
nuclear power plant. "10 million Anti-Nuclear Power Reactor signature movement"
has started towards March 11 (1st anniversary of an earthquake disaster), 2012
in the whole country. Terms from September 11 to 19 is a "Anti-Nuclear Power
Reactor Week". Many civic organizations are beginning to start activities also
in this Aichi and Tokai area.

(2) Toyota made holiday Thursday into
working day. We have objection on this decision.
Toyota decided at
the employer-and-employees round-table conference in May, that theiy will change
their week holidays to Thursday and Friday from July to September, according to
the plan of cutting peak electric power in working day to cope with electric
power shortage of summer, and it is still under progress.
However, entering
into August, they determined "To make Thursday working day every week in
September." And they decided new calendar change to remain Saturday working day
even after October, and it will continue until next March.
ATU submitted the
"request document" to President Akio Toyoda on August 9. The contents of the
request is,
1. Withdrawal of a plan to make the Thursday holiday into
operating days from September.
2. If they cannot withdraw that, pay a
holiday premium allowance.
3. And also for staffs of business-related
companies a holiday premium allowance.
