The Osan migrant Center established last 2003 it was the response of the Dasom Church to share their love to our wandering brothers and sisters. Our goal is to make a peaceful society with joy and harmony free from discrimination and greediness.

I am very happy for the migrant workers respond, for we have now the Osan Migrant Radio although we have only three languages so far it was a big leap for the migrant workers to have their broadcasting in their own language an easy way to reaching our brothers and sisters. We have also a seven days counseling labor, medical and family counseling, likewise we support also the festival for migrant workers as of now there is an ongoing basketball league among our Filipino migrant workers, our shelter is also open and the building for migrant organizations is still ongoing.

These were all done because we called upon the migrants workers and they response to our calling, but since the implementation of the Irregular Workers Law last July first 2007, the situation of all the workers in Korea had been change, most of the companies did not obey the said law that is why the life of the workers became worst that ever like the case of the E‐Land, New Corea, and Homever who were dismissed by the employer before they become regular workers. suppose to ender the irregular workers law all workers who worked for 2 years in the company you should be elevated to regular workers, but the employers did not obey the law and the irony the government should punish the employers but instead punishing the employers they punished the workers.

This situation is also applicable to the migrant workers, as of now they are in the state of shock since the government announce the crackdown last July 26, wherein the local police, the Immigration officer and the labor officer will join their power to deport the approximately 228.000 undocumented migrant workers. As of now the crackdown is being carry out by the Korean authority and some migrant workers had been arrested and now in the detention center.
This is the problem of neo liberalism they push the workers into bad situations and give to capitalist all the profits from the blood and sweat of the workers. This problem is not only problem by the workers, it is also the problem of all the people including you and me, so let us all unite ourselves and together let us struggle for our basic rights and Welfare.

Unite and resist the disastrous Crackdown and Deportation.

The Migrant workers belong to ICC, MTU Osan Branch, the Osan Migrant Community and Kasamma‐Ko resist the disastrous crackdown and deportation that the Korean Government plan to implement on July till December in the year 2007. If the Korean government is sincere for the right and welfare and for the human rights of all migrant workers then the disastrous crackdown and force deportation on August to December is not the solution.

The government must learned from the past that the solution for the human right abuse and the eradication of undocumented migrant workers can only be achieved if the government respect the rights and protect the interest and welfare of all the migrant workers. The best protection that the government can give to the migrant workers against human rights abuses is to fully legalize them.

This is the right time to give appreciation to those people who bravely struggle so that the Korean economy remain competitive, it is the right time to give reward for the unsung heroes for they not only help the Korean economy but also kept their economy afloat through the remittances they send in their respective countries.

But both the Korean government and our own government were deaf and blind for our rights, welfare and interest. As if they don't have any responsibility for our well being, we are just a useful commodities that they can used so that they can earned a lot of money from our blood and sweat. Their gratitude for our heroism is simply force deportation.

Our only hope is to resist this disastrous crackdown and deportation let us unite ourselves to struggle against the deportation. Rise and Unite fight for our rights and welfare.

No to Deportation Yes to legalization!!
No to Crackdown Respect the Migrants Human Rights.
