On this 13th of July 2007, The APWSL Philppines would like to congratulates the Seoul Insurance Union as we commemorate your 30th founding Anniversary We are not only celebrating the 30th founding anniversary of the Seoul Insurance Union who stood united within that years through many ups and downs but they are still standing for they believed that only through their strong union will make them strong and united.

<br>We are very happy to witness the formal singining of the our sister relationship between the Seoul Insurance Union and the United Luisita Workers Union at the Hasyenda Luisita, This is the union of the Pilipino Irregular workers at the Hasyenda Luisita, This is a sugar factory and also a sugar cane farm located in Tarlac City and owned by the Family of the former President Corazon Aquino.

<br>They were able to achieved their labor and human rights way back 2004, because of their strong union and their belief to the international solidarity made their. For one year they were on strike, our union visited their place and from that experience we want to have our sisterhood relationship to the United Luisita Workers Union for we believe that all workers are one, and they are all exploited by the capitalist that is why we should bound ourselves together to fight our common enemy.

<br>The sister relationship would not be materialized without the strong conviction of the leadership of the Seoul Insurance Union headed by Comrade Choon Dae Sok. with his visitation at the Hasyenda Luisita and his strong belief to the international solidarity.
<br>
<br>The embodiment of this relationship is the support of the Seoul Insurance Union to the United Luisita Workers Union as of now financially or other material and moral support. The other embodiment is the exchange program between Seoul Insurance Union and the ULWU, to have an exposure among the members.
<br>
<br>The APWSL Korea and Philippines are very grateful for the Seoul Insurance Union and the United Luisita Workers Union for their sister relationship. We hope that this relationship develop more and would be a model for the international solidarity.
