<br>The Asia Pacific Workers Solidarity Link Korea held their General Assembly at the Seoul Insurance Building at Chongnu 5 ga Yonji Dong Seoul. There are 30 delegates representing their respective union with the Theme of Struggle for True and Genuine Trade Unionism. There are also few peoples who attended the activity as observers.

<br>The assembly started by watching the Peoples verdict a video documentary from the Philippines during the International Solidarity Mission on August 15, 2005, it followed the reading of the general program of action for the last three years wherein they have three main goals. First is the solidarity for the Nepal democratic movement which they said it is in progress after the formal signature of the peace process second is the solidarity for the Pilipino struggles towards the genuine freedom and democracy and the third was the solidarity for the struggles for the irregular workers and the migrant workers.

<br>At the general assembly the APWSL Korea formally accepted the membership of the KEPICO and the KASAMMA-KO. Kepico is a metal union of the KCTU in Gunpo Kyeonggido with a 700 members and aslo the Seoul KCTU branch which has many members while KASAMMA-KO is the Unity of the Filipino Migrant Workers in Korea.

<br>The representative of Kasamma-Ko informed the members and delegates of the APWSL Korea the current situation of the Philippines. That during the Permanent Peoples Tribunal in Hague Netherlands found both Philippine President Gloria M. Arroyo and U.S. President George W. Bush, Jr. and their respective governments as responsible for gross and systematic violations of human rights, economic plunder and transgression of the Filipino people’s sovereignty.

<br>He also informed the delegates regarding the situations of the people who were working for a true and genuine trade unionism some of them are already buried some of them are still missing and some of them are in Jail for the crimes they did not commit such as Congressman Crispin Betran and Congressman
<br>Satur Ocampo.
<br>
<br>He also asked the support of the delegates to sign for a petition for the immediate release of Congressman Satur Ocampo and Crispin Beltran, All of the delegates and observers signed the petition
<br>paper.
<br>
