APWSL Korea,</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>Thank you for your proposals and your
energetic commitment to APWSL network.<BR>We appreciate your emphasis on the
grassroots solidarity and we are ready to fully cooperate with you for the
success of the exchange program.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>We had our regular meeting of the Kansai
group last nights and discussed your proposals.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>We agree on the basic idea. We
respect your past experiences of organizing exchange programs and understand
your expectations. But before going into further detail, we have to
clarify some technical problems.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>1. Air tickets</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>As we suggested earlier (and as you seem
to agree), "package tours" which include hotels might be the most reasonable
option. This means the delegates are to stay at hotels. Hotel fees
are included in the package even if you don't use hotels and choose
home-stay.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>For example, "package tours to Korea" of 4
days (3 nights) including hotels are around 35,000 yen (It might be cheaper in
your country). Even ticket without hotels can cost as much.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>2. Local cost</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>You suggested that "air transportation
will be shoulder by the Korean delegates while the local cost will be shouldered
by the host in Osaka".</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>Our understanding is that hotels
(including breakfast) are included in the package. Therefore APWSL Japan
or Kansai Group will pay local costs other than lodgings (and breakfast).
At this moment we don't have precise budget but we will discuss it after the
rough itinerary is agreed on.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>Number of delegates are the decisive
variable because of the capacity of the friendly facilities and our
staffs.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>3. Tentative itinerary (to be
discussed)</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>Our tentative proposal for the itinerary

to the hotel(s) & check-in.<BR>Go to Ikaino Area (Korean Town in Osaka
City)<BR>Dinner in a certain place (possibly at KCC?)</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="MS UI Gothic" size=2>Day 2: Go to Kyoto<BR>Visit "Kyoto Union"
(a local "community-union" type group)<BR>Sightseeing (Buddist temples
etc)<BR>Go back to Osaka for dinner with labor activists</FONT></DIV>

Union, Public Workers' Union<BR>Visit history musium and peace

and/or Regional cooperation among trade unions and community
organizations<BR>Dinner (possibly at You Jae Mo's church?)</FONT></DIV>
