On our conveners meeting in Korea we decided the exchange program between the APWSL Korea and Japan to put more on acceleration so we make a tentative schedule and hopefully it will be held in Osaka Japan on the last week of May or the first week of June, the date is not yet decided but the idea was already affirmed by our comrades from Korea and Japan. <BR>
<BR>
The exchange program is very timely as the Neo Liberalism is now make havoc to the entire working people and make their lives more difficult. Because of this Imperialist Globalization our world now is in chaos. More are in below poverty line, refugees and migrant workers because of the war of aggression of the US imperialism with their imperialist allies. Let our solidarity strengthen further so that we can struggle against the Neo Liberalism and build the other world. The Justice and Peace reigns a world of reunifications with Peace and Harmony. We Work for a beautiful, loving and Peaceful world. <BR>

Let me also remind you that the Church both the Korean and Japanese had made a significant role in establishing the APWSL and the democratization of the Korean Peninsula. Which make the history of the exchanged and solidarity between Korean and Japan in fighting the Neo Liberalism and establishing the democratic and free country. <BR>
<BR>
It was still fresh on our mind the year 1978 when Korea was still in the Military rule under the leadership of President Park Chung Hee, That was the period where in all the basic rights of the Korean were torn apart. Particularly the right s of the workers. The labor suppression were so harsh, harassment, torture, jail and killing were the tune of the music from the orchestra of the late dictator Park Chung Hee. <BR>

During that time the AAWL visited Korea and make solidarity with the Garment Union Workers after that the Urban Industrial Mission (UIM) of the NCCK and the NCCKJ make their first meeting in Suwon Academy House. They start to make solidarity and made a joint statement resisting the unchristian way of life of the regime and continue to fight for the true freedom and democracy, among the issue they cooperated and make continues solidarity are the protesting the arrest of the Pastor and the Staff of the Yeongdongpu UIM, the continues harassment of the farmer and workers in Cheongju, the Kamagasaki workers issue, the illegal termination of the Dongil company in Korea <BR>

The second exchange program was held in Kyoto on August 1981, they affirm their solidarity and work toward the change of the current labor law because it denied the basic rights of the workers. It this meeting they also decided to struggle against the Trans National Corporation (TNC) <BR>
<BR>
The exchange program developed further this time on 1983 at Yeongdungpo Urban Rural Mission Church they made the solidarity and struggle on the issue of the farmers, and they unite to make exchange program among the leaders of the farmers aside to continue their program on the 1981, Kyoto meeting. <BR>
<BR>
This exchange program continue further in Kansai Kyoto on 1998 It was the IMF financial crisis, they decided to struggle for the welfare and interest of the Migrant Workers, the struggle for the rights of the farmers against the deceptive WTO. During this time the URM is facing other concentration of work, but the exchange program between Korean and Japanese continued as a matter of fact on October 2001 an exchange program was held in Cheongju they renewed their conviction of solidarity and they united to struggle against the presence of the US Military bases in Korea and Japan, No to US Bases, US Bases Out in Korea and Japan, In this meeting they started to made an exposure to the working place of the workers particularly in Ulsan. There are also some issues they will struggle together, they are the Issue of Migrant Workers, and also the farmers. <BR>

On August 2003, once again the renewed solidarity meet again in Kobe Osaka, they cooperated to struggle against the US bases in Okinawa, The East Asia Peace and the Labor rights of the People in East Asia.. <BR>
<BR>
The Life, Peace and the Community is the theme when this exchanged program was held in Uiwang Aron House on October 2005. They decided to oppose the Labor Flexibility, the Neo Liberalism, the societal gap, the implementation of WTO. Work for the interest ,welfare and rights of the Farmers and the migrant workers <BR>
<BR>
It was not secret that I worked with the URM and I am always believe in the principle of the UIM, I just want to share this beautiful model of exchange program between Japan and Korea. So that we can use it to the APWSL exchange program between Japan and Korea we are doing this because we believe that other world is possible other than the World of Imperialist Globalization. <BR>
<BR>
Let me also remind you about the reactivation of the APWSL it was in Mumbai on 2004 that once again APWSL made an effort to face the Neo Liberalism, and on 2005 in Malaysia the exchange program between Japan and Korea was decided. Unlike before our APWSL is self sufficient if ever there will be a good group/individual who wants to support the APWSL it is very welcome but as I said we are now self supporting network so communication and constant exchange program is needed. <BR>

Our main objective is make a Solidarity to the grass root level of workers we are able to make our own communication by building labor network Asia to be able to defeat the Neo Liberalism let all workers Unite... <BR>

Le me also give my appreciation for comrade Harada and Yamaha I received the newsletter As of now I am making the program for our first exchange program which we affirmed already and we are just looking for the date somewhere in May or June 2007. May I also inform you that some ecumenical pastors are very interesting regarding the exchange program between Japan and Korea APWSL. They are kin to make an exchange program for the Christian churches in Japan. <BR>

As our unity the air transportation will be shoulder by the Korean delegates while the local cost will be shouldered by the host in Osaka, regarding the interpreter I think our brothers from the Ecumenical group will support us. Maybe our longtime comrade Tats Ma Na, can arrange with You Jae Mo, Of course the communication between Comrade Harada JNCCK-NCKK URM with the cooperation of Lee Chong IL of the Osaka Church with the additional of our Internet program that can translate 90% the Korean language to Japanese language, so interpreter I think is not a big problem. <BR>

Let me gave you some of the schedule that we want to meet on our visit in Japan, <BR>
<BR>
Visit the work places, of the workers to see their working situations <BR>
Visit some museum, peace park, and anti War Place and symbol of anti Japan Militarism. <BR>
Visit some place for some institution that gave information for labor education. <BR>
Put as to a Home stay so that we can develop more deep solidarity <BR>
Visit some grassroots level to make some solidarity and Internationalism.. <BR>

This activity is very important and we need to make a good preparation, May I suggest that we can meet for consultation regarding this matter. I will be in Bankok on February 22-23 for Asia Labor Exchange Meeting, after that I will participate to the CCA meeting in Changmai on February 24-25, On my way back to Seoul Korea on 26, could we have time to talk and finalize the APWSL Japan-Korea exchange program. <BR>
