3.11 Anti nuclear power reactor and movement against restart
On March 11, 2012, one year has passed since the East Japan great
earthquake, the earthquake disaster of the Fukushima nuclear power plant,
and the man-made disaster.
Revival from the earthquake disaster is, although slowly, progressing by the
unwavering strong will to "home country revival" of residents in stricken
area
Now, rubble processing of the stricken area poses a big problem. The
estimated amount of rubble of suffered 3 prefectures is said to be about
22,470,000 tons. This is said to be equivalent to 1.6 times of that of the
Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995, and 1/2 of total amount of the
annual wastes of whole Japan.
By the way, meetings, demonstrations, etc. of "Anti nuclear power reactor
and stop restart" were done in the whole country on March 10 and the 11th.
Among them, near Fukushima nuclear power plant, about 16,000 people from the
whole country participated in the "Fukushima residents large meeting" held
in Koriyama On the outskirts of Hibiya Park in Tokyo about 10,000 people to
"3.11 Tokyo parade" which opposing to nuclear power plant, and about 7000
people in Osaka, and in Tsuruga of Fukui Prefecture where record 14 nuclear
power plants in the country locate, about 1200 people participated in the
meeting. Furthermore, an atom-bombed place Hiroshima, about 2000 citizens
walked shouting "No more Hiroshima, no more Fukushima, no more
hibakusha(nuclear victim) ".
In this Nagoya city, 800 people participated in the meeting and
demonstration mainly led by citizens and youth on 10th, in those by
reformist organization and citizens, 5,000 people participated on 11th.
At all the meetings, "Anti nuclear power reactor and stop restart" were main
slogans, and we believe that it is the entire people's intention. However,
the government is aiming at restart of the nuclear power plant under pause,
following the request from the industrial world, etc., while safety is not
collateralized by it. It seems as if they has already forgotten experience
of the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster.

contents, for example, activity to make safe environment at work place,
which non-regular workers and workers of nursing home are spontaneously
promoting with unions. Some members participated also from ATU-S.
