5) The regular meeting of ATU・S was held.

A regular steering committee meeting was held on 26th. Mainly, the bill for 
the 4th general meeting, which will be held on February 12, was discussed 
there. Regarding this matter, the contents that had been arranged at the 
secretariat conference on 10th were raised as rough drafts. First of all, 
looking back on 3 years activity of ATU・S getting into 4th year, and the 
line of action for coming 1 year will be discussed with the theme "To 
produce regional cooperation and unity to confront Toyota".　A lot of 
attendance is requested.



4) The propaganda of January in front of Nagoya Station.

The propaganda in front of Nagoya Station once a month was held on 25th. It 
started by 4 groups such as ATU・S, but now, 10 groups participate including 
unions in this region.

This time, window of labor consultation was introduced, and the outline of 
the content of the Nagoya High Court decision about Aichi Steel Works 
camouflaging contract made by Sanchiku, worker dispatching company, was 
reported.



3) The secretariat conference meeting of TMPCWA supporters group in Aichi 
was held.

A regular steering committee meeting of TMPCWA supporters group in Aichi was 
held on 22nd. The meeting place of this time was Nagoya, different from 
Toyota City so far.

They will hold the meeting in both cities alternately to advance regional 
movements in both cities in the future. The latest information etc. in the 
Philippines were reported. The general meeting of the supporters group of 
Kanto and Aichi will be held in May.



2) Continued report of JTEKT dispute

There was a meeting of defense lawyers about Tanaka trial on 11th. The 1st 
examination of witness will be important court for a long time from 10:00AM 
to 5:00PM, March 3. Seven people from both sides including the plaintiff, 
the ATU chairman and JTEKT worker etc.   will stand in the testimony.  A lot 
of hearing support is requested.



1) (additional report) The study meeting of "Living wedge" was held.

The study meeting co-sponsored by APWSL Aichi. Tokai, and labor union of 
Aichi was held on December 28. The theme was "Living wedge ordinance. "The 
lecturer was Ms. Stephanie Luce now visiting to Japan, the associate 
professor of New York City University. Ms. Luce is a female researcher 
concerning "Living wedge ordinance" and an activist. 20 people listened to 
her lecture of this theme, on which still not so many people are working.
