stove, kotatsu, etc. are carried into makeshift houses -- quickly in
stricken Tohoku area.
The organization "the nameless mission of relief from earthquake disaster"
where many workers and labor unions are participated is in Tokyo. This
organization is continuing support services, such as "distribution of cooked
food", a "school for commoners", and "cleaning", at Minamisanriku town of
Miyagi prefecture. And as of September, 31 times dispatches to local area
were done and totally 830 people participated for 41 days.
Also from Nagoya, the friend of Nagoya workmen's-accident occupational
disease study group has participated. Moreover, the contribution was sent
also from the private support service of "fund from today to tomorrow."
(4) AKK Mr.Yoshida’s struggle continues.
At Hiroshima Yuwa clinic,5 contemporary people with Mr. Yoshida did same
work of Mr. Yoshida, and they extracted data on 26th. As a result, the
strong relation between work and development of symptoms became clear.
(3) From activity of Aichi meeting which supports TMPCWA.
There was a study meeting of Aichi meeting which supports TMPCWA at Workers'
Union of Anjo area on 23rd. Mr. Minoru Tanaka of Kanto area meeting which
supports TMPCWA was invited as a lecturer.
Moreover, 15th ILO Asia-Pacific region meeting will be held in Kyoto
national conference center on December 4. In advance of this, we discussed
and decided to do the appeal for hearing participation of the meeting by
distributing flier to each government employer-and-employees representation
which attends this meeting.
(2) Strengthened tackle of AKK Mr. Yoshida’s labor-accident trial..
On 16th. Mr. Yoshida’s wrist medical treatment did not show prospect of
recovery, but in continuing treatment after the diagnosis of "both wrist
arthropathy", diagnosis, at Yuwa clinic in Hiroshima (Dr. Hiroshi Udo)
introduced by a Medical Science doctor of Shiga University, showed the sign
of recovery.
Since the name of a disease changed by diagnosis, we withdrew the
provisional disposition for return to work, and decided to do retirement
procedure at present.
The fundamental idea is due to article 19 of labor standard law, saying
"Employers must not discharge workers, during non-working period due to
their injury resulting from works, or illness, to get medical treatment ",
therefore they took necessary procedure submitting a document insisting that
his dismissal is invalid. They are making effort for victory at the
workmen's-accident trial advancing now and to make him return to work place.
They are asking for the continuing support.
