East Japan Earthquake, nuclear power plant disaster, and workers’ unity 5

For all member of APWSL in each country.
Support activities by workers and labor unions continue since earthquake 
disaster on March 11.
Stricken Area Support Group "Ofunato and Rikuzentakata Support Network" was 
formed in Aichi Prefecture on June 19. The track piled up with support goods 
left immediately in July. Moreover, after East Japan great earthquake and 
the nuclear accident of Fukushima, there are various movements for escape 
from nuclear power generation also in the Tokai region. Group "Connect to 
the future Tokai Net" that connect anti nuclear power plant group and 
individuals who are acting in the Tokai district (mainly in Aichi, Gifu, and 
Mie) was started up on July 29. This group buys the equipments, and does the 
radiation measurement of food by the citizens. Moreover, there are various 
movements, for example, a group collect assistance signatures to Prime 
Minister Kan who announced "Escape from nuclear power plant dependence".

4) Mr. Tanaka trial of JTEKT the 2nd reconciliation talks
The 2nd Reconciliation talk of JTEKT Mr. Tanaka trial were held on 22nd. 
"Medical certificate” by physician who is in charge of Mr. Tanaka, which

approved as follows. 1. He will do “ snap inserting work” (1000 pieces a 
day) at home in August. 2. If the result evaluation is OK, he will do 
similar work at the Kariya factory. (work for 8 hours a day). 3. If the 
result at the Kariya factory is OK, he can return to regular work.

2) ATU distributed organization paper "Companion of All Toyota" at the 
station.
The distribution activity of ATU organization paper "Companion of All 
Toyota" was done in front of Kariya Station (There are many enterprises 
related to Toyota around there) on 13th early morning. The ATU union member 
and 12 companions of ATU・S jointly distributed 3000 handbills. Afterwards, 
they received phone calls for consultation.

1) Activity magazine "Reimei (the dawn) No.16" of ATU・S was issued on 8th.
In No.16, the feature of "Tohoku earthquake and Fukushima nuclear power 
plant disaster" was described.  Relating to the ATU, AKK Mr. Yoshida’s 
struggle, and JTEKT Mr. Tanaka’s struggle etc. were focused. Besides, it is 
composed of 36 pages of the report including the general meeting of the 
TMPCWA  supporters association in Aichi etc.
