5) Making Joint Base in Nishi-Mikawa region
On July 21, The first meeting was held by initiative of ATU・S to make Joint 
Base in Aichi Prefecture Nishi-Mikawa region for the purpose of consultation 
of industrial injury and occupational disease and negotiation and the trial 
with Labor Standards Inspection Office and the Bureau of Labor. 10 people 
participated from 7 groups including ATU. Next meeting is scheduled to be 
held in Kariya City on September 6, and the start-up of the organization and 
the contents of the activity will be studied in addition.

4) Mr.Kumazawa started the activities
On July 17, Mr. Kumazawa (30-39) who worked for F company (Aichi Prefecture 
Kasugai City)which is  related to auto parts for Toyota, started new 
activities He was a worker of regular employment of F company, and a union 
member of the enterprise-based union, but he gave up the union, because it 
didn’t hear the workers’ opinion or consultation, and determined to newly 
join to ATU. This day Mr. Kumazawa proposed the joining notice and the 
collective bargaining to ATU to F company with the director of ATU.

3) Struggle for withdrawal of dismissal at the subsidiary company of Toyota.
On July 14, there was a collective bargaining requesting the withdrawal of 
the dismissal of Mr. Y(union member of the Aichi unity union) sent to the 
Toyota 100% subsidiary company and TTDC (Toyota technical Development 
Corporation) as CAD lecturer. The secretary-general participated from ATU・S, 
which support and unite with the negotiation.

2)  New struggle started at JTEKT.
On July 10, a new struggle started at the Nagoya district court. Mr. Tanaka 
who had been dismissed by JTEKT, one of the related company of Toyota, 
because of expiration of the suspension period due to sickness, assumed that 
the dismissal cannot be justified, and raised the trial requesting the 
withdrawal. The supporters meeting is being prepared by mainly ATU.

1) Tokai Foreigner Support Network
On July 4, study meeting of "Tokai Foreigner Support Network" was held.
The theme on this day was correspondence of the dismissal problem by Mr. 
Taira Secretary-General of Executive Union Tokai. Some cases were 
introduced. The management committee participated from ATU・S.

Postscript: Ms Kiyoko Saka, Chief Representative in APWSL Aichi makes 
efforts for the election campaign as a candidate in the House of 
Representatives from Social Democratic Party Tokai Proportion Part. One of 
the reasons for candidacy is to enact the law that stands in worker's 
standpoint, and to advance reorganization in the place in the Diet.
