The defamation action against Junya Lek Yimprasert has been dropped !

Publicis Thailand, Thai subsidiary of French public relations giant Publicis has charged Junya Lek Yimprasert, coordinator of the Thai Labour Campaign, with defamation. 

Lek republished an article from CSR Asia Weekly on the TLC website about an unfair dismissal case filed by five workers against the public relations company. Many hundreds of workers visited the LabourStart Campaign website to send protest emails, and Lek is back organising.

Philippines
Stop the killings of workers in the Philippines !

Manila, Philippines

Crispin Beltran is a leader of the Philippines Labour movement and is a member of Parliament.
He has been arrested on charges issued in 1985 for rebellion against the Marcos dictatorship !
This is part of the Philippines government attempt to smash the workers' movement.
Filipino workers are under serious attack. There are weekly killings of labour activists.
More than 200 union activists and union organisers have been killed in the past 12 months.
