[APWSLMembers 40] AGM of APWSL Japan

APWSL Japan held its 16th Annual General Meeting on July 16 and 17 in Tokyo.
12 delegates gathered to discuss the results of the council meeting held in
Kuala Lumpur and the activity of APWSL Japan for the next year.

The AGM agreed on the following points.

1. Solidarity Contribution
APWSL Japan will contribute 50 US dollars every year.
But we would like to ask the former secretariat to send a financial report
for the last three years and the present secretariat to draw a rough budget
for the coming year. The first payment of the solidarity contribution was to
be within six month, so we hope the financial report and the budget will be
sent out to national groups before then.

2. Secretariat Meeting
We support the AAWL proposal to have the Secretariat Meeting in Australia
this October.

3. Exchange Programs
APWSL Japan will visit Korea for a bilateral exchange program in the coming
year.
APWSL Japan will plan to visit New Zealand in Autumn next year.

4. Labornet Asia
A representative from Labornet Japan attended the AGM and we agreed to work
together to support the set up of the test page of Labornet Asia by Jinbonet
in Korea. We will also work together to administer the newly-setup APWSL
mailing list.

5. New representatives
The AGM elected the following representatives.

APWSL Japan resolved to renew its efforts to support and strengthen the
APWSL network.
